A Successful Open Day: Surgital Celebrates Its Employees and the Territory
11 June 2024An event dedicated to the corporate community and their families, focused on cohesion and well-being.
Surgital, a leading company in the frozen fresh pasta sector, opened the doors of its Lavezzola plant on Saturday, June 8, welcoming over 350 employees and their families for a memorable Open Day. This event was a concrete testament to Surgital’s commitment to operating with the best corporate welfare, fostering loyalty, and developing a sense of belonging.
A Day of Celebration and Sharing
The Open Day offered a rich schedule of entertainment, transforming the plant into a meeting place for everyone. Games, dances, challenges, a treasure hunt, and various quizzes about the world of freezing and raw materials animated the day, making it a unique opportunity to share the daily work routine and showcase the innovation in production processes and the sustainability policies implemented in favor of the environment.
Employees’ Well-Being at the Center
“The success of a company is due to the people who make it up” said Massimiliano Bacchini, board member and Commercial Director of Surgital. “We wanted to dedicate this major event to our employees to recognize the commitment and value they bring to our business every day: we care deeply about their well-being. Creating a sense of belonging is essential for continued growth together.”
Surgital’s focus on its employees is also evident in its corporate welfare initiatives. In 2023 alone, the company provided goods and services worth over 290,000 euros, involving local entities and generating a significant impact on the local economy. This commitment has enabled Surgital to grow, increasing its workforce from 201 to 351 employees in just 10 years, contributing to positive economic performance with a 15% increase in the consolidated balance sheet for 2023 compared to 2022.
A Big Family
The event also benefited from the valuable support of internal ambassadors, volunteers who contributed to the success of the initiative, expressing their sense of belonging to a company that has grown from a small artisan workshop in the 1980s to an international reference for frozen fresh pasta, established in over 60 countries worldwide.
Values and Traditions at the Center
The entertainment program followed a precise theme: the Manifesto in which Surgital has condensed its values, from the desire to preserve and promote the Italian tradition of fresh pasta worldwide to highlighting its excellences and valuing its origin story. A special space was dedicated to the exhibition “Italianisms in the World,” created in collaboration with the Casa Artusi Foundation and the government program The Extraordinary Italian Taste of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
Ongoing Commitment to the Community
Surgital also renewed its partnership with the Romagna Oncology Institute until 2027, setting up an information corner during the event. This solidarity space allowed guests to learn more about this important healthcare reality and contribute to a significant cause.
With the slogan “We Put Our Best on the Plate,” Surgital emphasizes its commitment not only to offering high-quality products and services but also to caring for its employees and the territory. The Open Day was an important event in the company’s successful journey, which continues to grow thanks to the contribution of all those who are part of it.
