Ca’Pelletti closes 2023 with significant growth. The 40 years of Surgital’s Romagna pride translated into a winning, recognizable, and distinctive casual dining format
6 February 2024The brand records +39% compared to 2022. Ten years after the opening of the first restaurant in Bologna, five venues have already opened, and 2024 will see the openings in Parma and Milan, where customers will be able to savour the tradition and hospitality of Romagna.
Ca’Pelletti, the brand of Romagna-style restaurants opened by Surgital Spa in Emilia-Romagna, Lombardy, Veneto, and Tuscany, closes 2023 with a 39% growth compared to 2022, for a turnover equal to €5.8 million. The number of seats is also increasing, 400,000 compared to the 298,000 of the previous year. A positive business for the parent company, not only for the over 4% impact on the group’s aggregate turnover, but also for the success in having transferred the expertise gained in more than 40 years of history into a casual dining format that is today recognizable and distinctive in the commercial catering scene.
Surgital brought to Ca’Pelletti the passion for cooking and the Romagna pride, investing in a plan developed around the profound culinary knowledge of a company whose products are used in 60 countries around the world in restaurants, many of which with Michelin stars, bars, and pubs. For Ca’Pelletti, 2024 represents the year in which the consolidation and relaunch work carried out in 2023 will be realized, supported by an important study recently carried out by the MiMeC – Master in Marketing and Communication – of Bocconi University. A confirmation of the brand’s strengths in view of the development of this entrepreneurial project which, in the next few months, will already see the opening of two new venues in Parma and Milan, the sixth and seventh, with the aim of reaching 10 points on sale by the end of 2025.
The distinctive features of Ca’Pelletti are indeed the gastronomic tradition and the cult of hospitality that have made Romagna famous throughout the world: in the current 5 venues in Bologna, Padua, OrioCenter (Bergamo) and Florence, you can savour typical regional specialities, in an informal context that pays attention to customer needs thanks to an efficient service, the quality of the dishes, and the competitive prices, as well as the convenience of being able to count on a kitchen that is always open, all day, 365 days a year.
The commitment toward the new generations, an essential element for both Surgital and Ca’Pelletti, concretely translates into the variety of professional positions held mainly by university students. The possibility of having contracts with flexible times allows them to best meet their study and work needs.
